ingredients
1 package (19.76 ounce size) fresh original bratwurst links
1 pound ground beef
1/3 cup red onion, finely chopped
1/3 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 tablespoon minced jalapeno peppers, optional
8 hamburger buns
directions
Remove bratwurst from casing and place in a large mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly by hand.
Form each burger with about 1/2 cup of the mixture and grill until cooked through and no longer pink. Serve on hamburger-style rolls.
