Cottage Pea Soup

ingredients
2 cups chicken broth
3 cups frozen peas, thawed
1 can (10.75 ounce size) cream of mushroom soup
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup finely chopped celery
1 cup shredded carrots
1 1/2 cup diced, cooked ham
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
directions
Combine the broth and 1 1/2 cups of the thawed peas in a blender. Cover and puree for 15-20 seconds, scraping down the sides if needed.
Grease a slow cooker and then add the pureed peas and cream of mushroom soup, stirring until blended. Add the remaining peas, onion, celery, carrots, ham and black pepper. Stir gently to combine.
Cover and cook on LOW heat for 6-8 hours. Stir before serving. Serve hot.
