Easy as... apple pie! This recipe has both the crust and filling made from scratch!
Pie Crust
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons water
Pie Filling
6 cups baking apples
1 cup jam or honey (your choice)
1 1/2 tablespoon lime or lemon juice
1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoon butter or margarine
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Pie crust: Mix all pie crust ingredients together in pie plate with hands until completely blended together. Press dough into the sides and bottom of pie plate. Try not to work the dough too much!
Pie Filling: Arrange sliced apples over pie crust. Mix together jam, lime/lemon juice, cinnamon and butter. Cover with top crust and seal edges. Cut slits in top crust for heat vents and bake at 425 degrees F for 35-40 minutes (convection ovens cook faster) or until apples are tender when pierced with skewer or toothpick.

A good basic pie. I just wanted a simple apple pie and this was exactly it. I served it with homemade cinnamon ice cream.

The recipe tasted very good, but the directions were very bad. The pie crust ingredients can only make one crust. I recommend to use a different pie crust recipe. Otherwise, this recipe was delish!
I'm not a dessert maker. But this receipe worked out great for me .Thanks
