This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

A big batch of homemade salsa is always a great thing to have hanging around in the fridge, especially when you throw in fresh lime juice and green onions.
1 can (10 ounce size) Rotel tomatoes, drained (hot, medium, or mild)
2 green onions, chopped fine
1 clove garlic, minced
1 large tomato, seeded and diced
1/2 lime, juiced
1/2 teaspoon salt
Combine the Rotel, green onions, garlic, diced tomato, lime juice, and salt in a bowl. Mix well. Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour before serving.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

This salsa is fantastic. I did not seed the tomatoes and I did not completely drain the Rotel either. I poured out most of the liquid but did not drain it. Salsa has to have liquid.
