The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
1 cup diced Granny Smith apple (peel on or off)
1/2 cup peeled and diced ripe avocado
1 1/2 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1/4 cup seeded and diced red bell pepper
1/4 cup diced red onion
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
1 1/2 teaspoon seeded and minced jalapeno pepper
1/2 teaspoon grated lime zest
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 dash black pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
directions
Add the apple and avocado to a bowl and drizzle with the lime juice. Toss gently to coat in the lime juice, being careful not to crush the avocado too much.
Add the bell pepper, red onion, cilantro, jalapeno, lime zest, salt, pepper, and garlic. Toss well to combine.
Serve immediately.

Nutritional data has not been calculated yet. This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

Someone brought this dish to an event and it was a huge hit. The flavors are amazing! It's an unusual combination of ingredients, but it works. A few people didn't care for it, but most LOVED it!
