A creamy, savory blend of onions, sour cream, and fresh or dried dill. This easy-to-follow recipe results in a versatile sauce that adds a flavorful twist to any dish.

1/3 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 tablespoon butter
1 1/2 tablespoon flour
1 cup rich milk
salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 teaspoon chopped fresh dill
OR
2 teaspoons dried dill
Cook onion in butter until tender, add flour and cook 2 minutes over low heat. Add milk, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
When very hot, remove from stove and add salt, pepper, and sour cream. Beat well. Stir in dill.
