Sloppy Pedros With Spicy Beans

Kidney beans give these Pedros a leg up on the classic sloppy Joe. Perfect recipe to double or triple and serve to a hungry crowd with some sides like slaw or potato salad.

ingredients

1/2 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 can (15 ounce size) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (10.75 ounce size) condensed tomato soup
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt, optional
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted

directions

Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off excess grease.

Add the onion, garlic, and chili powder to the skillet and cook, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes.

Stir in the beans, tomato soup, water, and salt. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 10 minutes over medium heat.

Serve on buns with any desired toppings.
