Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

1/2 cup golden brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 cup biscuit mix
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup jam (your choice)
Cream together sugar and peanut butter. Add biscuit mix, egg and milk. Mix well. Spoon into greased and floured 8 inch square pan.
Drop jam by teaspoonfuls on top of batter. Cut through batter with knife to marble through the cake.
Bake in 375 degrees F oven for 30 minutes. Cut into squares. Serve warm or cold.

What's the secret ingredient in these cakes? Pudding mix. It not only adds flavor but it gives the cake a richer, creamier texture. No one will know your secret ingredient!
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

It really tastes like peanut butter and jelly! My kids loved it with milk for an after school snack. This is a keeper.
