Chicken Beer Gumbo

ingredients
4 chicken breasts, skinless & boneless
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons flour
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup green onions, chopped
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1 cup onion, chopped
1 cup okra, sliced
1 cup tomatoes, crushed
1 can (12 ounce size) beer

directions
Cut chicken into pieces. Combine salt, pepper and flour. Dredge chicken in seasoned flour, shaking off excess and reserving flour. Brown chicken in oil about 3-5 minutes per side until golden.
Remove chicken pieces. Turn heat down to medium and add green onions, celery and onion to skillet drippings. Cook 5 minutes. Add reserved seasoned flour and continue to cook 5 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients and return chicken to skillet. Bring to a simmer, partially cover and cook 35-40 minutes.
Serve with rice.
