Ruby Tuesday's makes a mean apple pie. This trick to copying their famous pie is to start with a frozen apple pie and dress it up with a secret layer of sugar and spice and top it off with a sweet, nutty topping.
1 (9" size) frozen deep-dish apple pie (double crust style)
Filling
8 tablespoons butter, cut into bits
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Topping
10 tablespoons frozen or very cold butter
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Thaw the frozen pie for 30 minutes at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
For the filling: Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves. Stir for 3 minutes or until the sugar has dissolved. Set aside.
Using a sharp knife, carefully slice an "x" in the middle of the top pie crust so you can fold it back. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the pie filling. Roll back the top pie crust and seal the edges. Cut 4 vent holes in the top.
Place the pie in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Remove the pie from the oven.
For the topping: Using a medium-sized grater, grate the frozen butter into a bowl. Add the flour, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and walnuts and mix well.
Reduce the oven temperature to 325 degrees F. Carefully spread the topping over the pie crust. Place the pie back in the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes longer or until bubbly in the middle.
Remove the pie from the oven and let stand for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.

It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

There are no ruby tuesdays near me but this made a very good apple pie. It only served 8-9 people so I guess it's how you slice it up but I doubt I could get twelve slices out of it without it falling apart.
