ingredients
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/4 cup lukewarm water
directions
Mix dry ingredients. Add water and knead thoroughly. Cover and let stand 10 minutes.
Roll dough into balls about 2 inches in diameter and roll them out flat with a rolling pin. Cut two slashes in center.
Fry on both sides in hot grease until brown.
For the dessert version: drizzle with honey and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
