This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

Bet you wouldn't guess how easy it is to make pop tarts at home. Here's a three ingredient recipe for simple fruit flavored pop-tarts, but by all means get creative and invent your own flavors.
1 package refrigerated pie dough
jam or jelly
frosting, optional
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
Unfold the pie dough on a work surface. Cut into equal-sized rectangles. Gather the dough scraps and form into a ball then roll out with a rolling pin. Cut more rectangles until no more dough is left.
Spread jam on half of the rectangles, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges. Top with the remaining rectangles. Crimp the edges of the dough to seal the jam inside.
Place the pop tarts on a baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned and crispy. Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool.
Frost the pop-tarts as desired.
Change things up a bit and make savory pop tarts instead of sweet. Fill them with scrambled eggs (with ham, sausage, chorizo, cheese, etc), thick sausage gravy, ham and cheese, leftovers, pumpkin puree with goat cheese, caramelized onions and gruyere cheese, pizza sauce with pepperoni... get creative!

Here in Germany, where original Pop-Tarts are hard to get and are expensive, we searched for a good way to make them for ourselves. The Recipe is easy and tastes great! Recommended!
