Green Onion and Apple Sausage

ingredients
1 1/2 pound ground pork
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1 1/2 teaspoon ground sage
4 green onions, thinly sliced
1 Granny Smith apple, very finely diced
1/2 tablespoon honey
1 lemon, juiced
directions
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Mix well.
Heat a cast iron skillet over medium heat. While the skillet is heating, form the sausage into 3/4-inch patties.
Add the patties to the skillet (in batches if needed) and cook on both sides until the sausage is no longer pink and is cooked through. Serve hot.
The uncooked sausage can be frozen for up to 2 months.
