3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons Asian sesame oil
1 tablespoon seasoned rice vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoons grated, peeled fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
1 green onion, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
4 swordfish or salmon steaks (about 6 ounces each)
sliced green onions, for garnish
Preheat broiler. Grease rack in broiling pan.
For Sauce: In small bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, vinegar, honey, ginger, cornstarch, pepper, minced green onion, and garlic.
Place fish on rack in broiling pan; brush with half of sauce. Place pan in broiler at closest position to source heat and broil fish 5 minutes.
Remove pan from broiler. Turn fish over and brush with remaining sauce; broil 4 to 5 minutes longer until fish is golden brown on the outside and opaque throughout.
Sprinkle with sliced green onions before serving.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
