Quick and simple Jack Daniel's fudge made with just four ingredients. Melted chocolate blended with whiskey and powdered sugar creates a creamy texture. Perfect for a last-minute dessert or holiday gifting.
serves/makes:
ready in: under 30 minutes
ingredients
1 package (12 ounce size) semisweet chocolate chips 1 cup Jack Daniel's whiskey (blackjack) 2 pounds powdered sugar 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
directions
Melt chocolate bits in microwave or double boiler, stirring frequently.
As soon as chocolate is melted (and still kept separate), mix the Jack Daniels with the powdered sugar in large bowl.
Add the melted chocolate, and stir (add the chopped nuts now).
Turn into a 13X9X2 in pan and with saran wrap over it, spread evenly into pan (it sets quickly). Then remove saran wrap.
Cool for 2-5 minutes until set enough to cut (do not wait until it is completely cool, or it will crumble in places).
Cut and then put into serving dish.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
