1 1/2 pound lean ground beef
2 large onions, chopped
2 diced potatoes
4 carrots, sliced
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 can (15 ounce size) whole tomatoes, chopped, undrained
salt, to taste
2 tablespoons sugar
directions
Divide each ingredient into two halves. Layer each ingredient in a pot in the order given and heat to a boil. Don't stir.
Reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover. Cook slowly for at least one hour.
