under 30 minutes
ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried sage leaves
3/4 cup half-and-half (more if needed)
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
In a large bowl, combine flour, parsley, 2 tablespoons cheese, sugar, baking powder, salt and sage, mixing well.
Add half-and-half and stir with a fork just until dry ingredients are moistened, adding additional half-and-half, 1 tablespoon at a time, if necessary to form a soft dough.
On floured surface, knead dough gently to form a smooth ball. Pat dough into 1/2-inch-thick square. Using a knife, cut into equal squares.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush with melted margarine and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon cheese. Bake for 8 to 14 minutes or until light golden brown. Serve warm.

They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
This Italian cheese is so versatile that it can be used in both sweet and savory recipes from cheesecakes to lasagnas.
