Slow Cooker Chicken Lasagna

ingredients
1 pound cooked shredded chicken breasts
1 large onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 jars (17 oz.) spaghetti sauce
1 package (18 ounce size) "no-cook" lasagna noodles
1 package (9 ounce size) shredded mozzarella cheese
1 container (9 ounce size) ricotta cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
directions
Brown the onions and garlic in a non-stick pan then, add the spaghetti sauce and mix well.
In a separate bowl, mix the cheeses, milk and egg. Grease the crock-pot with vegetable shortening, sides and bottom. Place 1/4 of the meat sauce mixture in the bottom of the crock-pot then, 1/3 of a layer of noodles (break to fit)
Then, place approximately 1/3 of the cheese mixture on top. Then, repeat the process of: sauce, noodles, cheese for two more layers. Put the remaining meat sauce on top. Cook on low for approximately 6 hours until the noodles are soft.
