ingredients
1 cup sweet biscuit crumbs
1/4 cup chopped almonds or walnuts
1/3 cup butter, melted
8 ounces cream cheese
3/4 cup thickened cream
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons cornflour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 can pears drained patted dry with absorbent paper
3/4 cup nuts, to garnish
directions
Combine the biscuit crumbs, chopped nuts and butter and press into the base of a lightly greased springform pan. Chill.
Beat cream cheese with an electric mixer for 2 minutes or until smooth. Add cream, sugar, eggs, cornflour and cinnamon, continue beating until well combined. Top prepared crumb base with pears.
Pour cream cheese mixture over pears and bake in the lower half of oven at 375 degrees F for 1 hour 15 minutes. Allow to cool slightly in oven before serving warm or cold. Sprinkle with extra almonds or walnuts.
