ingredients

1 quart mayonnaise
3/4 quart apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/4 tablespoon cayenne pepper
prepared horseradish
lemon juice
salt and freshly ground black pepper

directions

Place all ingredients in a very large blender or food processor. (It may be necessary to do this in 2 batches; just add 1/2 of each ingredient and then repeat.) Blend for 1 minute, or until thoroughly combined and mixture is smooth. Pour sauce into a large bowl.

Use when grilling chicken; brush lightly over the chicken during the last few minutes of grilling. This sauce is also great for dipping; set some sauce aside for passing at the table.

I've never seen a white BBQ befor in my life until now.

A good "down home" barbecue sauce.

This recipe is just like the one we used when I worked at a local Barbeque restaurant as a teen. Loved their white sauce on everything from hush puppies to smoked chicken. I like to add a little more mayo cause I like the sauce to be thick.

I followed the recipe for the White BBQ sauce and I need to know if the apple cider vinegar amount is correct. I did it according to the 3/4 qt of vinegar just as it said but it really has a strong vinegar taste. Just wondering if it should have been 3/4 cup? Thanks for your help.

I am so excited to see this recipe and I am anxious to try it! I have bought Big Bob's online and we LOVE it on anything from a dip to a potato topper! I have a question from the source of the recipe though: how much horseradish? I assume it's 'to taste' but where do I start? How much does Big Bob use? I hope I get a response soon, because I want to make it as soon as you give me a starting amount!
