1 box (15-18 ounce size) yellow cake mix
1/4 cup melted butter
4 eggs, divided use
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 pound powdered sugar
2 cups flaked coconut
pecans, chopped (as desired)

directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine the cake mix, melted butter, and half of the eggs in a mixing bowl. Mix until combined. Transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch cake pan.

Combine the cream cheese, remaining eggs, and sugar in a mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed until well mixed. Stir the coconut and pecans in by hand.

Pour the cream cheese layer over the cake mix layer, spreading it smooth.

Place the cake in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 45-60 minutes or until the cake is set in the middle.

Let the cake cool then cut into squares. Store the leftover cake in the refrigerator in a covered container for up to 4 days.
