3 cups cubed beef stew meat
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup butter
1 onion
8 large potatoes
2 cups chopped carrots
2 cups chopped celery
salt, to taste
1 cup tomato juice
directions
Dust the meat with flour; brown in butter in skillet. Add the onions and cook until soft. Place meat and onions in crockpot. Cover; cook on low for 2 hours. Stir in vegetables and tomato juice. Season with salt. Cook for 6-8 hours.

Is the only liquid 1 cup of tomato juice? Has anyone made this? it seems like something is missing.
The crock pot will create steam which creates additional liquid. If you add more than what's called for you'll probably end up with too soupy a consistency.
