Slowly add water and simmer 10 minutes, adding more water if necessary. Add beans until heated through.
Divide corn chips among individual wide shallow bowls, top with chili. Sprinkle cheese on top.

A can of cream of mushroom soup can be a real dinner saver. It works great in casseroles and can turn into a sauce or gravy in a pinch.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

Just made this and my roomie and I give it 4 stars! We like it a lot! Only thing I did different was added 3 pieces of bacon instead of 2 and I used Kidney beans. If I make it again will season it up a bit more as it's a bit bland. Miss Woolworths!!

I made this and really liked it! Will make again. Had never even heard of Woolworths having food. Just knew them as the dime store as a kid.

I have never had Woolworth's anything. I had eaten frito chili pie in school. I made this for my son and it was great. I made two changes. I used kidney beans instead of pinto beans and I only used 1 tablespoon of chili powder. I also lengthed the simmering time to reduce the water. He loved it and I got my 30 something year fix.
