The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

Pickled Squash

ingredients
8 cups sliced squash
4 medium bell peppers, sliced
2 cups sliced onions
2 teaspoons celery seed
2 teaspoons mustard seed
1/3 cup salt
2 cups white vinegar
3 cups sugar
1 teaspoon pickling spices
directions
Pour salt over first five ingredients and let set for 1 hour.
Drain off excessive juice. Add vinegar, sugar and pickling spices. Bring to boil and boil 2 minutes.
Jar and seal. Chill before serving.

Will this make 12 pint jars?
It doesn't say specifically, but pint jars are the most common size used so that would be my guess.

I lost my recipe and am so glad to find it online!! These are not only good, but also simple. This recipe does not say but my old recipe said non idiozed salt. SOO GOOD!!
