ingredients

1 pound ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
1/2 cup water
1 can (8 count size) refrigerated crescent dinner roll dough
1 1/2 cup crushed corn chips
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Stir frequently until the beef is cooked through.

Add the taco seasoning mix and water to the skillet. Cook at a low simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Separate the crescent roll dough into individual triangles. Press the dough into an ungreased pie pan, points facing in. Press the seams to seal.

Scatter one cup of the corn chip crumbs over the crust. Top with the ground beef mixture. Evenly spread the sour cream over the meat. Sprinkle the cheese on top and then top with the remaining corn chip crumbs.

Place the pie pan in the oven and bake at 375 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly in the middle. Let cool for 5 minutes then slice into wedges and serve.

Very good. You can make as is or add some extras (beans, onions or chilies) - perfect! Thanks for posting.

GREAT budget meal! I've been looking for ways to cut our grocery costs and this one can be made pretty cheaply. I make my own taco seasoning mix and get generics of the other ingredients.

My family and I loved this recipe. I added a can of refried beans before the meat went on and used a deep dish pie pan. It was awesome! Thanks for sharing!
