Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

This delicious broccoli, crab, and cheddar quiche is perfect for brunch or dinner. This tasty dish combines fresh broccoli, tender crab meat, and cheddar cheese in a flaky crust.

1 (9-inch size) unbaked pie shell
1 cup chopped fresh broccoli
1 can (4.25 ounce size) crabmeat, picked over and drained
1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
3 eggs
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Using a fork, prick the unbaked pie shell multiple times in an even pattern. Place the shell in the oven and bake for 7 minutes. Remove the pie shell from the oven.
Evenly spread the broccoli and crab in the bottom of the pie shell. Sprinkle the mixture evenly with the cheddar cheese.
Beat the eggs in a bowl until uniform in color. Whisk in the heavy cream, salt, and pepper and mix until well combined. Gently pour the egg mixture over the crab mixture, tilting the pie pan as needed to spread the filling evenly.
Return the quiche to the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove the broccoli, crab, and cheddar quiche from the oven and let stand for 2 minutes then cut into wedges. Serve hot.
