Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

So good! My husband and I loved these and my 11 month old gobbled up the left-overs today. Only thing I did differently is sub some minced carrots and celery for 1/4 of the pork.
