Avocado And Mint Salsa
- add review
- #72669
ingredients
1 avocado
1 lemon, juiced
1 tablespoon chopped mint
1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt
1/8 cup finely chopped onion
directions
Mash the avocado. Mix the lemon juice in. Add remaining ingredients.
Mint is my first choice, but most any fresh spice or combination of spices should go well with avocado salsa. Basil is a great choice; use more basil than you would mint, about 1/4 cup per avocado.
You can also add a small green chili, finely chopped, if you desire a hotter salsa.

They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

Too much lemon. I'd say 1/2 lemon (maybe my lemon was too large, I don't know - an actual amount of juice is more helpful). I like the combination of mint with avocado though and would like that to be the more powerful flavors instead of the lemon.
