ingredients
1/2 package (16 ounce size) frozen black-eyed peas
1 cup sliced green onions or finely chopped onion
3/4 cup finely chopped red or green bell pepper
1 can (4.5 ounce size) diced green chili peppers, drained
1/2 cup bottled salsa
1/2 cup Italian salad dressing
1 teaspoon bottled minced garlic
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 dashes bottled hot pepper sauce
tortilla chips or large corn chips
directions
Cook peas according to package directions. Drain; rinse in colander. In a large bowl, combine onions, sweet pepper, chili peppers, salsa, salad dressing, garlic, black pepper, and pepper sauce.
Add black-eyed peas, stirring gently to combine.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 3 to 24 hours. Serve with tortilla or corn chips for dipping.
