ingredients
2 pounds ground beef
3 cups water
6 ounces can tomato puree
2 diced onions
1 tablespoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne red pepper
2 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Spice Pouch
35 allspice balls
4 bay leaves
4 dried red peppers
directions
Brown ground beef and drain grease.
Combine all ingredients except spice pouch ingredients in large saucepan.
In a tea ball or cheese cloth put the spices. Close cheese cloth securely to form bag. (Kite string works good.) Simmer 3-4 hours.
Serve over spaghetti and/or hot dogs topped with cheddar cheese.
Depending on how spicy you like it, variances can be made with the cayenne pepper, red peppers and chili powder.
