- #34494
Say Aloha to this chili with a hint of sweetness in this Hawaiian-style recipe. Beef, beans, and pineapple taste perfectly delicious in a sweet and sour style sauce.

ingredients
2 pounds ground beef
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 can (15 ounce size) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (18 ounce size) pork and beans, undrained
1 can (20 ounce size) pineapple chunks, undrained
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white vinegar
directions
Heat a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring frequently, until the meat is no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease.
Add the onion, kidney beans, pork and beans, pineapple, ketchup, brown sugar, and vinegar. Mix well.
Cover the pan and adjust the heat to a simmer. Let cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve the chili hot with any desired toppings.

They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Ranking #1 in nearly every "favorite cookie" poll, the chocolate chip cookie is pretty much the go-to cookie of choice for both kids and grownups alike.
