Yogurt Cucumber Sauce

1 cup plain yogurt, drained
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cucumber, grated and drained or squeezed dry
1 teaspoon cider vinegar

Meat Patties

1 pound ground beef (or 1/2 ground lamb and 1/2 ground beef)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg
1/4 cup bread crumbs
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Accompaniments

pita bread
chopped tomatoes
sliced onions

For Sauce: Mix everything together ahead of time and refrigerate.

For Patties: Mix together and form into small patties. Fry in a bit of olive oil until cooked through.

Serve with accompaniments and yogurt cucumber sauce.
