Ingredients: 1 cup long grain rice, uncooked 2 cups water 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon butter
Directions: Combine the rice, water, salt, and butter in a 1 quart saucepan over medium-high heat.
Bring to a boil, stirring once or twice. Cover, reduce the heat to low, and let simmer on low for 20 minutes. Do not lift the lid until the cook time is up.
Check the rice, all the liquid should be absorbed. If not, cover and cook a few minutes longer. Fluff with a fork before serving.
