The resulting French toast has all of the crunch and richness of regular French toast, only more comforting because of the cinnamon factor.

The pumpkin flavour in this is on the lighter side. Give it a go even if you aren’t a pumpkin fan, maybe it’ll become one of your new fall favourites.

This simple overnight french toast casserole with fresh peaches and a buttery, brown sugar and pecan topping is sure to make everyone smile

Slices of French bread are soaked overnight in an eggy milk mixture. Before baking a candied praline topping is spread over the casserole, making this a sweet way to start the day.

This French toast is soft, sweet and filling. The buttery, egg-infused brioche makes it especially rich, and the oatmeal coconut crusting gives it a little chew. We prefer our French toast swimming in a pool of maple syrup, but it would also be nice with a dusting of confectioner’s sugar and some fresh fruit. Brioche has a tender crumb, and works best for this recipe, but I think challah would do nicely as well.

This french toast was so good! Sweet, crunchy and cinnamony on the outside…warm and smooth on the inside. And, it’s particularly amazing with a little extra butter and warm syrup. Mmm….

That’s what I love about doing a baked french toast. They’re so easy to pull out of the fridge, pop in the oven and snap, you have a sweetened breakfast treat fit for a gaggle of gals.

Peaches and French toast go together so perfectly. Add some bourbon sauce in the mix and you have a winner.

This espresso angel food cake french toast is the perfect breakfast pick me up. Sweet cake dipped in espresso milk and drizzled with chocolate sauce. So delicious and so easy to make!

With a mere 10 minutes of prep, you’ll be well on your way to a scrumptious dish without the multiple steps and lengthy cooking time of traditional French toast.

The original recipe called for a pecan topping, but you can substitute with whatever you have on hand-I had a ton of walnuts needing to be used up. As far as the fruit goes, apples would be great, too. I even thought about adding in some orange zest-but then quickly forgot (what can you do?). It’s great because it takes very little time to get the custard ready. Simply soak the bread overnight and then all you have to do in the morning is preheat the oven and bake.

Now I know this is not going to be a daily breakfast, but every once in a while it’s okay to indulge a bit.

Who wouldn’t want their own French toast muffin? Especially when there is cinnamon streusel topping on top! Oh yeah! You might even need two muffins because they are that good!

Not overly-eggnoggy, but definitely a hint of holiday spirit. Especially when you add, uh, holiday spirits. Brandy is my favorite hair-of-the-dog flavoring, but I’ve also done variations with Grand Marnier (orange!), rum, Baileys, and even Kahlua. And the smell of cinnamon permeating your home as it bakes will wake up even groggiest of sleepyheads.

Picture warm fluffy oven baked french toast, dripping in maple syrup, and piled high in caramelized bananas and toasted pecans. (If you’re not a pecan person feel free to omit, just add an extra banana to the recipe!) Best of all, it only has 280 calories per serving.
