I debated what to call these tacos. Whatever you call them, if you’re looking for a satisfying and healthy alternative to bacon, I hope you’ll try these vegetarian BLT tacos. They’re not only vegetarian, but also naturally vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free.

These are made with a combination of ground beef and cubed potatoes, served in taco shells with your favorite taco toppings.

Beef sirloin is slow cooked with onions and green peppers in a tangy sauce made with red wine, ketchup, vinegar, garlic, liquid smoke, cumin and hot sauce. Serve with warm flour tortillas

These tacos are crispy and spicy, savory and salty. The pickles add just the right amount of salty crunch. Like pickles on a cheeseburger, in a taco, with hot sauce.

I’ve used pickled jicama slices as tortillas but you may serve the crab salad on corn or flour tortillas if you prefer.
