ingredients
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon grated onion
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, optional
2 teaspoons lemon juice
4 drops Tabasco sauce, to taste, optional
3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
1 jar (3.75 ounce size) lumpfish caviar
1/2 cup minced green onion
paprika, optional
grated lemon peel, optional
directions
Combine cream cheese and mayonnaise, beating until smooth. Stir in onion, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, Tabasco and parsley until thoroughly combined.
On a serving platter, or in a serving dish, spread the cream cheese mixture in an even layer, smoothing with a spatula. Spread caviar over the cheese, garnishing with the green onion and egg. Sprinkle with paprika and lemon peel, and serve with crackers, or Melba toast.
