2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons butter
1 can cream of mushroom soup
4 slices American cheese

directions

Place half of sliced potatoes in greased crock pot. Top with half of onion slices, flour, salt and pepper. Add remaining sliced potatoes and onions. Sprinkle with remaining flour. Add butter and undiluted soup.

Cover; cook on low for 7-9 hours or, high for 3-4 hours. Add cheese slices about 30 minutes before serving.

    i have made this dish to bring to the last 4 potlucks i've been too and EACH time it was a big hit. i'm really dyslexic though, and so the first time i wrote down the recipe i wrote CREAM OF CHICKEN instead of mushroom so i've never actually tried it with the cream of mushroom. i DEFINITELY recommend trying this recipe, it's SO easy.
