This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.
Bread Machine Low Carb Italian Loaf
- add review
- #14020
2-5 hrs
ingredients
1/2 cup vital wheat gluten
1/2 cup protein powder
1 package rapid rise dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water (95-105 degrees F)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 tablespoon sugar, to activate yeast
1 tablespoon butter, melted
directions
Add yeast, water and sugar to bread machine and let sit about 10 minutes to activate. Add other ingredients and set for light white bread, approximately 3 hours and 40 minutes.
Bread must be refrigerated; however let cool several hours before refrigerating.
Variation: Add 1/2 c cheddar cheese for fabulous cheese bread. This makes a delicious bread that even my picky 10 year old daughter loves. About 15 carbs for entire loaf.

This Italian cheese is so versatile that it can be used in both sweet and savory recipes from cheesecakes to lasagnas.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

I tried making this loaf - seemed so easy. Think that maybe not enough dry ingredients. Failed for me.
