1 pound mild italian sausage, sliced
4 tablespoons water
1 medium diced tomato
2/3 cup rice
2 cups chicken broth
8 ounces sliced mushrooms
4 sliced scallions
2 pinches saffron
1/2 cup undiluted golden mushroom soup
Brown sausages with water. Drain, but save 4 tablespoons drippings in pan.
Add mushrooms, tomato, scallions and rice to pan. Stir over low heat for 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and cover. Simmer, stirring occasionally for 20 - 25 minutes.

Not a true risotto but a very easy recipe that ended up tasting pretty good and having a decent texture to it. I'm not sure what the other person found confusing about the instructions because it's VERY easy to follow and there are no steps missing. As I said, it's not true risotto so maybe they were expecting the steps like other risotto recipes where you add the broth in increments and stir constantly. This recipe obviously isn't like that.

In general, the ingredients made a yummy risotto. However, the procedure submitted in this recipe was too short and not detailed enough, especially for a beginner since the difficulty level was only at 2. We referred to other recipes for a better idea of how to do a risotto, and in the end it turned out fine. So everything was good, just polish up the steps perhaps? :)
