What's the secret ingredient in these cakes? Pudding mix. It not only adds flavor but it gives the cake a richer, creamier texture. No one will know your secret ingredient!

Create a delightful caramel glaze in under 10 minutes with this simple recipe. Using brown sugar, butter, and evaporated milk, it provides a rich texture that complements a variety of desserts.

1 cup packed brown sugar (light or dark)
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup evaporated milk
Combine the brown sugar, butter, and milk in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly for 2 minutes or until the sugar has dissolved and the sauce begins to thicken and caramelize.
Remove the pan from the heat and let the glaze cool to room temperature then use as desired. If the glaze becomes too thick you can heat it gently again.

Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.
