Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

ingredients
2 pounds asparagus
extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
salt and pepper
2 lemons
1 lime

Place asparagus in baking pan or dish. Drizzle olive oil over asparagus (amount to liking). Add salt and pepper to taste.
Spritz it with fresh lemon and lime juice. Finally, sprinkle sesame seeds on top of asparagus.
Bake at 375 degrees F, for about 12 minutes or until fork tender. Serve with lemon wedges.
NOTE: Try different varieties of olive oil, such as roasted garlic, or basil olive oil. You can also add garlic (fresh, minced in jar or garlic powder).

The lemon/lime juice didn't seem really necessary, but the toasted sesame seeds are a must. Delicious and easy. It did, however, take longer than 12 minutes for our asparagus to become tender. We baked it for more like 20 minutes.
