1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
OR
4 tablespoons honey
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup shortening
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 tablespoon butter
directions
Sift flour with sugar, baking powder and salt, stir in cornmeal. Add eggs, milk, butter and beat just until smooth.
Bake at 425 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes.
