The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

When I made this recipe as written it did not work out. 2 cups water was not enough and the recipe does not give box sizes. So I tried again I made the 1.5 oz "instant" pudding by the box directions using fat free milk (and no cooking since it was instant). Then I mixed 1 cup hot water with a .03 oz box jello (1/2 of this box directions)and folded it in the pudding. After added strawberries I put them in individual graham cracker crust pie shells because I was taking the dessert to a party and chilled for a couple of hours. I dotted each with whip cream before serving. It was very tasty.
