Banana Cream Cheese Pie

CRUST
1 1/2 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
1/4 cup sugar
6 tablespoons butter, melted
PIE
16 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1/2 cup bananas, mashed
banana, sliced
directions
Combine crust ingredients and pat into a pie plate. Beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Gradually add the sugar, mixing well after each addition. Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each. Stir in the mashed bananas.
Pour filling into pie shell and place sliced banana on top. Bake for 50 minutes in a preheated 350 degrees F oven. Cool on a wire rack. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
NOTE: To keep bananas from turning brown, brush lightly with lemon juice.
