Ranking #1 in nearly every "favorite cookie" poll, the chocolate chip cookie is pretty much the go-to cookie of choice for both kids and grownups alike.

1/3 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon cooking oil
3/4 cup bottled chili sauce
1/2 cup beer
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
In a medium saucepan, cook onion and garlic in hot oil over medium heat until onion is tender. Stir in chili sauce, beer, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
Simmer, uncovered, about 20 minutes or until desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
To use, brush chicken with some of the sauce during the last 10 minutes of grilling. If desired, heat any remaining sauce until bubbly and pass with chicken.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

My boyfriend jokes that he puts beer in all his cooking. So he was more than impressed when I brought out this sauce while we grilled some chicken wings.
