ingredients
3 tart apples, peeled and sliced thin
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 cup sugar or sugar substitute
1 cup flour
1 egg
2 tablespoons brown sugar
cinnamon
nutmeg
vanilla ice cream (optional)
directions
Cover bottom of 9 inch pie pan with apples. Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg on apples.
Melt butter in saucepan and stir in remaining ingredients. Pour batter over apples and spread evenly.
Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees F. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
