Caramel-Amaretto Apple Pie

ingredients
6 cups peeled, sliced cooking apples
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
3 tablespoons Amaretto
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
3/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats, uncooked
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
directions
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; stir well. Spoon into pastry shell.
Combine pecans and remaining ingredients, stirring until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over apple mixture, and press gently with fingertips. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until lightly browned.
Serve warm, or let cool to room temperature on a wire rack.
