Get the maximum cheese flavor in every bite with this layered, oven-baked macaroni and cheese recipe. It has three kinds of cheese layered with elbow macaroni and a cheesy bechamel sauce.

1 box (1 lb size) elbow macaroni pasta
Cheesy Bechamel Sauce
1 cup milk
1 cup butter plus additional butter for pan
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup shredded cheese (your choice)
Cheesy Layers
1 package (14 ounce size) shredded mozzarella cheese
1 package (14 ounce size) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 package (14 ounce size) shredded muenster cheese
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cook the pasta as directed on the package. Drain and set aside when done.
Meanwhile lightly butter a deep lasagna pan and set aside.
In a heavy saucepan, heat the milk and butter over medium-high heat and stir until the butter melts. Reduce the heat to medium and whisk in the flour until the mixture is smooth and thickened. Add the 1/2 cup shredded cheese (your choice of kind) and stir until melted.
When the pasta is cooked, place a layer of it in the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Alternately add the three cheeses and pasta until gone.
After the last layer, evenly pour the cheesy sauce over the top of it all.
Place the pan in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 40-60 minutes or until bubbly in the middle.
Remove from oven, stir to mix well, then serve immediately.
