Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.

A lighter twist on burritos made with lean beef (or turkey works well too), whole wheat tortillas, fat-free refried beans, and lower fat cheese.
1 1/2 pound lean ground beef or ground turkey
1 large onion, peeled and diced
extra virgin olive oil
1 quart chunky salsa
2 teaspoons cumin
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 cup mild green chiles, chopped
1 can (16 ounce size) fat-free refried beans
1 package (10 ounce size) whole wheat tortillas
3 cups reduced-fat shredded Mexican cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Saute ground meat and onions in extra virgin olive oil until meat is browned and onions are soft. Drain in a colander to remove excess fat.
Return meat and onions to the skillet and add garlic, cumin, chili powder, green chilies and salsa. Simmer for 15-20 minutes on medium heat.
Lightly spray a 9 X 13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
Cut the tortillas in half. Place a layer of tortillas in the dish. Spread with half of the refried beans. Top with some of the meat mixture and some of the cheese. Repeat until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cheese.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.
NOTE: If you like it spicier, add some hot sauce while simmering.
