Ingredients: 6 cups half and half or milk 3 tablespoons instant espresso powder or instant coffee powder 12 cinnamon sticks, broken in half 8 ounces semisweet chocolate 6 tablespoons brandy, optional whipped cream
Directions: In a heavy medium saucepan, combine half and half, espresso or coffee powder, and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Discard cinnamon sticks. Add chocolate and whisk until melted. Add brandy, if desired.
Ladle into mugs and top with whipped cream. Garnish with cinnamon sticks.
